Hillwalking around South West Donegal, Ireland.

For our April walk we are delighted to have The Bluestack Ramblers Walking Club join us for a lovely walk from Cashel, Glencolmcille to Port.

This walk is on Sunday, 26th April meeting for registering at The Fire Station, Cashel, Glencolmcille at 10am.

The walk is from the meeting area to the Mast and descends to the picturesque deserted fishing village of Port. After a short rest for lunch the walk returns along the scenic coastal route to the Napoleonic Signal Tower on Glen Head, then descending into Glencolmcille with a visit to St Colmcille’s Well.

Bring food and drink for lunch.

Strenuous/moderate walk, duration 4.5 hours; 11Km.

Part of the safety requirement of the club is the wearing of appropriate hill walking clothing and footwear on the day.

Sliabh Liag Hillwalkers AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Sliabh Liag Hillwalkers takes place on Friday, 20th February in the Slieve League Lodge, Carrick, at 8.00 pm. Club membership for 2015 is now due.

We would like to extend to you a warm welcome to our Walking Club.

The Sliabh Liag Hillwalkers is a community based walking group that was formed in December 2009. The overall aim of the club was to promote the interests of hill walking and rambling activities within our area. The club also aims to promote awareness of the need to maintain access, conservation and protection of the Slieve League Cliffs and surrounding hills. .....
