The Straboy to Meenacurrin loop walk.

Walk Start Time: 10:00am

Meeting Point: Carrick Car Park @ 10am

This walk is 4 – 5 hours, 14km long over mountains and rough moorland.

  The walkers climb to Slievetooey summit and continue to the summit of Meenacurrin. Here you're just about ready to sit and admire the incredible views, get a good look at where you’ve just been and where you want to go next.

Sliabh Liag Pilgrims Path Bus leaves the Car Park in Carrick at 2.00pm. This walk is 3 – 4 hours, mostly on track. For further details contact:

  Buses are available from the car park in Carrick 2pm
Rosary will be said at the site of the old church of Aodh mc Bhrince at the end of the pilgrims path. There is no fee for the June walk and the buses are complimentary.
Please note: Walks are free to all members and there is a €5 euro charge for non members.
           
Walking festival on the 31st August, 1st and 2nd Sept 2012
We have a walk on the last Sunday of every month locally.
A = Difficult and Strenuous, often wilderness
B = Rough Terrain, exposed Moorland
C = Mostly Tracks with some Rough Terrain
D = Wheelchairs & Prams. Good Tracks and Road
